"The hat is horrible qulaity - flat and absolutely no shape to it. I don't even think ironing it with starch would put shape into it! Probably won't even use the hat. There is one piece to the costme that I can't even figure out how my son is supposed to wear it draped across the front. The beard is a little weird too."

"The pirate hat was too small for an infant and had no way to stay on the head (elastic etc). The belt was too small and I have a child that is too small to wear size 7 pants. The shoulder belt did not have any way to attach at all. I would never buy this product again!"

"I ordered a size up and I was glad I did! My son is thrilled with the costume, but be warned that it needs to be altered. We ordered a size up and the coat fits just right across the shoulders with the sleeves needing to be rolled up. The belt is too short and the sash is too long. So with a little ingenuity I can make this costume work. Just be warned that you'll probably need to do some tweaking and it won't be ready to wear right out of the package. If your kid is a big pirate fan then I'd say it's worth it because the costume will be used for hours of play once halloween is long gone."

"The beard had to be trimmed around the mouth for easier accessibility. For the hat, I had to use clips to mold to getting to look like the style as shown in the picture. Plus I didn't realize the boot cuff aren't included. Thought the price was a little high for what you are actually getting."
