"My child received so many compliments! I choose this costume because it is unique and wouldn't likely be the costume all children are wearing from retail stores. True to size and good quality fabric, although, I did order one size up to reuse for another year. Definitely a great pick, highly recommended."

"My daughter loved this costume! She got lots of compliments on it when she was trick or treating. She is a size 10 and the 8-10 fit perfectly until we had to put a long sleeve tee underneath because of the cold, then it was a bit snug. I think they need to make cold weather versions of all the costumes! :) Super fast shipping - got here well before it was promised."

"I bought this costume for my 4-yr old daughter, she loved it and wore it with great pride throughout the halloween night. She received ALOT of compliments from everyone and the costume is beautiful, great quality and fits perfect. My girl is very tall for her age and the dress was alittle long on the bottom so it kind of dragged as we trick-or-treated, she got it quite dirty but after a little altering/hemming if that is the case, this costume is seriously a must have, especially if entering a contest, your sure to win!! It's very unique, and the quality is top notch. Great if your going for a not-so-common look!"

"My 6 year old daughter wanted to be cleopatra for halloween ever since she saw this in the catalog. I was concerned about the quality, since kids costumes gernerally are not made well. What a great surprise. The quality of this costume is very good. It isn't flimsy, or thin. It seems to be really well made and is a good fit for my daughter. The headband seems to be a bit small, but my daughter has a lot of hair so that may be the issue. The wrist and neck bands seem well made and fit."

"I love this costume! I agree with previous reviews that the quality is really good for a costume. The dress is as flowy and Grecian as it seems in the photos. The turquoise and sequin detailing on the collar, belt and wrist cuffs is beautiful. They make the costume look much more expensive than it is. I ordered up a size for my seven year old (size 8-10), and found that the costume is pretty true to size. So I’ll have to take it in and up a little bit so it’s a better fit and is not touching the floor. It’s an easy fix that I can do myself. I didn’t have any problems with the fit of the headpiece that came with the costume, maybe because I ordered up a size.
Speaking of headpieces, my only gripe is with the EXTRA headpiece that I ordered. Based on the reviews that I read, I ordered the headpiece being modeled by the first child. Big mistake! Before I even took it out of the package I realized that the color would not work. The costume is gold, but the headpiece is more of a copper color that I found distracting. As I opened it I noticed that several of the beads were missing. When I tried it on my daughter’s head, a few more fell off. The ones that managed to hang in there were held in place with huge globs of glue. Also, it is not a one-size-fits-all headpiece. I could not get it to sit properly on my daughter’s head. Cute concept, poor execution. I would return it, but Costume Express’ policy says that I would be responsible for shipping costs both ways. Since I live in the Virgin Islands, and I was already charged extra for shipping, I’m stuck with it.
Now, back to my happy place. As I said, I live in the Virgin Islands and was very surprised that I received this costume in eight days! I used the most basic shipping option and didn’t think I would get it in less than two weeks. Needless to say, I was extremely impressed with my overall experience. More importantly, my daughter’s jaw dropped when she saw herself in the costume. She thought it was beautiful and didn’t want to take it off, so that’s the best endorsement right there. She told me, “I know I’m going to win the costume contest in this!” True Cleopatra spirit! I will absolutely be ordering from Costume/Celebrate/Birthday Express again."

"My 6 year old daughter is enamored with this costume. It is well made and very colorful, and the size is perfect! She was giddy while trying it on and I was impressed with how pretty it is.
One thing: I was under the impression it had sheer sleeves, but it is sleeveless. Regardless, it is a lovely costume and she can't wait to wear it."

"My daughter wore this last year(3rd grade) and loved it, she got many compliments and was the hit of her class! One down fall was the headpiece and arm cuffs. My daughter is very petite and has a very small head, but the headpiece and arm cuffs barely fit on her and we needed to make a few adjustments to make them work. But, even with that being said it was still a great costume!!"
