"I'm really glad I bought these on clearance and they didn't cost much. The strings are much too short and didn't fit on my 3 year old. They do have to be put together as mentioned in other reviews and I also had to restring them with longer pieces of elastic. Too bad they could be really cute if they were better made."

Warning- Hats must be assembled!

"Warning before you purchase- Hats are shipped flat, which means they must be assembled. Hats do not stay together without strong tape added to the sides. Then you have to attach the string straps. Way too much trouble!! Would not recommend."

"We loved the Word World theme and what party would be complete without party hats? They were a must and very adorable.
We didn't however expect to have to assemble them ourselves. The hats came flat and the elastic bands came separate. We would have liked for them to come pre-assembled & were slightly disappointed by that."

"not sure whats with all the people having problems putting a hat together as its a fairly simple process. its fairly easy to do and kids could even "build-a-word" (get them to spell out the word hat and get them to build the hat or help them build it depending on age). great product!"

LOVE these hats!

"I gave my little one this hat and she wears it every day. She just loves it! And the great thing is, you get several for your money so it's well worth it! There is a small amount of assembly required but it's so simple. All you do is fold it and hook the hat together and then slip the string over the little tabs. Nothing difficult whatsoever. LOVE these hats!"

"I was REALLy disappointed with a few of the products I ordered, the hats being one of them. If you are going to order these hats, make sure you have some time to put them together. You literally have to form the hat, insert a tab into a slot and then attach the strings...really not worth the money!"

"They definitely take hold of the "Word World" concept with spelling out the word H-A-T. My main issue was that they didn't keep a smooth cone formation. I tried using double sided tape to hold the flaps down and it still doesn't work 100%. You see, they come folded flat and you have to bend them in a cone shape and slide the connectors into each other so it holds. I just wish it was a smoother connection. Also, in the show World World, there is a pompom on the top of the hats and these don't come with those. I just put a toothpick through a pompom and placed it in the top of the hat, added a bit of glue and it came out great. Looks a lot better than just as it's sold."
