"I got this to fill my son's pinata and was very dissapointed to find that instead of the toys pictured above, it came with 18 plastic GUNS. This was not at all what was pictured in the image and not what I was expecting. I woun't let the kids go home with guns, so it is out to the store for some additional fillers."

"I ordered this to have for my daughter's birthday at my dad's house in South Carolina. WE were traveling there on the day of her actual birthday so I wanted to have a fun surprise for her the next morning. Overall, the toys were fine for pinata filler but the candy could've been much better. Most of the candy did not travel well in the summer heat (with exception of the Smarties). I mean, what were you thinking? It was melted & stuck to each other, creating an annoying mess. The taffy & lollies that actually survived were a brand I hadn't heard of & the kids complained that they tasted weird. I'd order the toys & candy separately,"

"I have purchased items from Birthday express before but this was the first time I have purchased any pinata filler. It was for my 2 year daughter's birthday. When I received the package I found that the package of candy pinata filler was covered in blue goo. It seemed that the bubblegum had melted and leaked out of the package and onto all the rest of the candy. After trying to separate the rest of candy I realized that almost the whole package was bubblegum. I just threw out the whole package and went to the store and bought GOOD candy."

"Last year, I thought I would save money and buy candy from a local store. I actually spent more at my local store. This ended up being a savings and everything came in one box; took about 7 minutes to fill the pinata. Some of the larger toy pieces didn't fit into the pinata so we put them in a box for the kids as prizes. I would recommend actually putting all toys in a box to use this way. Some of the whistles broke in the pinata after it finally broke."

"The only thing the 8 year old kids liked out of this mix was the whistles. (very loud) The magnifying glasses all broke in the pinata. The yo-yo's don't really work either so they frustrate the little kids. The candy is good though! I really liked the giant smarties!"

"This package was fairly priced as I saw similar packages at party stores priced similarly BUT this had much better toys so I was glad I bought it. It is not a great candy assortment though and won't even come close to 1/2 filling up the pinata so get some more and better candy at the store to go with it."

"I bought these fillers for my daughter's birthday pinata - she turned 6. One of the children at the party has food allergies, so i needed some non-food items in order to make sure there were safe, fun items for him in the pinata. While filling the pinata, i dropped one of the magnifying glasses, and it broke in half - i made a mental note that when they came crashing out of the pinata, they would probably all break, so i left those out and used the blowers, kaleidoscopes, and yo-yo's only (and hoped for the best). There wasn't enough candy included with this pack to count for anything - i'm glad my focus was on the non-edible items or i would have been REALLY disappointed. As it turned out, the non-food items i included did not break when they poured out of the pinata and they were just fine for the kids - no one was wow-ed by them, but no one was negative about them either. I feel i covered my bases by providing a candy alternative, but be warned that even to fill what i considered a small/medium sized pinata (the rainbow one offered on this site), i still had to buy a lot more candy to fill it. This pack on its own would never have done the trick - would probably have had to buy three to four of these packets to fill it up if i was using these fillers only. In retrospect, i probably could have found less expensive and more exciting non-food items for the pinata at our local party store, but it was convenient to buy them here with my themed party plates etc (which my local store did not carry) so i did. So, they're not terrible, but they're not great either. If you needed them for a casual reason like i did, you'll probably be happy, but if you are counting on these to be a hit, you might be disappointed."
