"First thing anybody wants to do once they get a cool costume is try it on. So of course I allowed my daughter to try it on. The ribbons that go over the shoulder snapped right off, but they were decrative and unnecessary so no boggie. The leggings were itchy but easily fixed with wamer leggings so again no biggie. The costume was nothing spectacular but fun at teh same time. If you are looking for a costume for costume's sake, this is the way to go. The hardest thing to find was shoes and most of the outfit could be worn on another occasion. Not a bad buy, but you get what you pay for."

"I purchased this for my 10 year old. We could totally skip the fish-nets! She wore leggings instead, thank you. But, she loved the rest of the costume. We ordered a size up even though she is on the small side. You still need leggings or tights because it's on the shorter side. We were so careful with the straps because of earlier reviews -- but, yes, one ripped right away anyway. It is a good value for the money even with a safety pin holding the strap. SHe was very happy!"

"My daughter looked so cute. This was a great costume and I couldn't have been happier. I did read previous reviews that stated the straps came undone when the costume was worn. Before I let my daughter wear it, I just re-enforced the straps and we didn't have any issues."

"As soon as we received this costume my daughter wanted to try it on. It looked so adorable on her. When we took the costume off, the little red ties on the shoulder came completely off. This was very disappointing. She only wore it one time and it was coming apart. I always buy my childrens costumes from Costume Express because I want a good quality costume and have always been pleased in the past......not so much this time."

"Pirate Cutie perfectly describes this costume for my 9 year old granddaughter! The fact that it comes in a "tween" size is a great bonus.Parents of kids in the 9-11 year old range know that kids sizes are too small and adult sizes are too big. The outfit can be accessorized with a sword and eye patch or used just as it is with the cute swashbuckling sash (included). Stylish and comfortable, this costume is sure to put my granddaughter in the running for "Best Bandit" in the Halloween parade this year!"
