Title: Reasonable price but needs work

"I bought these as the party favor for the kids attending a HarryPotter birthday party for my 9 year old. The kids loved them but of the 8 that i bought 3 of them needed tinkering with needle nose pliers and a screwdriver to make them work and one had no sound. Cheaply made but once working they were excellent."

"Wand didn't work very well, the light worked but the sound didn't. You had to move the wand a few times before it would work and the battery door would not screw down all the way."

"The motion activated light and sound wand has been a hit with my kids, but I was disappointed with the battery compartment. It was slightly too large for the required 2-AA batteries and did not work at first. I had to use a piece of tinfoil to made the batteries make contact with the ends. The screw on the battery compartment stripped on the first time I tightened it, so I'm not sure how we'll replace the batteries next time. Fun product, but not super high quality."

"The wand is immediately sound and light active. It's very durable hard plastic (and virtually kid-proof) and my nephew immediately began casting spells everywhere. This is what you wish for in a toy - it calls up his memory and imagination. He noted (he's 5) that it called for a "strong arm, Mommy!" - which is true. But you can also get it to activate by tapping it lightly on the floor or wall or table top, so it's not impossible for younger children."
